Winchester Players are Expecting Isabel

WINCHESTER, MA: The Winchester Players are delighted to announce that their production of the savvy and charming contemporary comedy “Expecting Isabel” will be presented on April, 18, 19, 25, 26 at 8:00 p.m. and on April 20, at 4:00 p.m. at the Winchester Unitarian Church, 478 Main St. Winchester.

Directed by Award Winning Russell Greene, this intriguing new play takes on the very real trials of a New York City couple trying to have a baby by any means possible.  Their difficulties lead them on an emotional, and frustrating maze as they confront the fertility options, the adoption industry, and their own opinionated families.  Playwright Lisa Loomer uses laughter to soothe this front line report of the anguish of infertility.

Nick and Miranda tell the audience their story and the supporting cast each take on multiple roles to fill in the other scripted 20 characters.  Starring in the production are Kristin Hughes, Michael Govang, Jon Nuquist, Sandy Armstrong, Janet Ferguson, Bernie Hutchens, Maria Mogavero, and Sarada Voss-Wise.  (Seen right, Michael Govang & Kristin Hughes)

Production Manager Robert Hallisey has put together a talented crew with assistance from Sandie McNeal as Stage Manager.  The Washington Times reviewer said of the play, “…a well researched, tart and humorous tour of the emotional journey that can come from trying to make a miracle.”  Tickets are $15/$12 for seniors and students.  For reservations call: 781-721-1814 or visit the web site at www.winchesterplayers.org.
