Valley Repertory Company Announces May Production of Lust 'n Rust, the Trailer Park Musical

ENFIELD, CT: Eric Albetski of East Windsor will Direct the  fun country western Lust 'n Rust, the Trailer Park Musical. Boyd Wood of Stafford, who will also head up the Markley Brothers Band, is the Musical Director. The strong cast includes some new faces as well as some you’ve seen before on VRC’s stage: From Enfield are Chris Kibbe as Duane, Gaetan Michaud as Steve, Brent Alexander as Junior, Gary Turrell as Red, Melissa Styche as Janette, and Lisa Eaton as Henderson; also Brendan Albetski from East Windsor as Buzz; Cassie Wood from Stafford as Tanya; Rhonda Oliver from Hartford as Leticia; and Janine Flood from East Longmeadow as Connie. Erin Moody of Ellington on fiddle and Bill Drouin of Vernon on Guitar will round out the Markley Brothers Band

Lust 'n Rust is the story of Steve, a corporate manager from New Jersey who is transferred by his company to a small Southern Illinois town to run the local Agribig food processing plant. He moves into the Redbud Mobile Estates and meets the quirky characters that live in the trailer park. Steve's life is immediately complicated by a relationship with Connie, a neighbor in the park who waits tables at Smitty's Diner. Connie is splitting up with her soon to be ex-husband, Duane, who is trying to gain Connie's forgiveness for an unfortunate incident. Steve's life is further complicated when he gets a difficult assignment - an action that could have a disastrous impact on the local economy.

This foot-stomping feel good musical is being performed at 100 High Street in Enfield.  (The Village Center of Thompsonville) Show dates are May 2,3,9,10,16 and 17.  Tickets cost $12, general admission, and $10 for  students and seniors.
