Hailing from the small town of Oxford, Maine, Dead Season has been playing
together since 2003. Founded by the two Truman brothers, Ian (vocals) and Matt
(guitar), the band later added Andy Hackett on drums and Steve Church on bass.
Their debut full-length CD, Rise, was released in August 2006.
“The Mirror,” track three on Rise, spent most of 2007 in heavy rotation on WTOS
and “The Thunder Rolls” (a Garth Brooks cover) was one of the most requested
songs on the station in 2006. A brand new single from their new album, “The
End,” is currently in rotation on WTOS.
Dead Season won WTOS’s Battle of the Bands three years in a row (2004, 2005 and
2006) and remains one of the most requested bands on the station. Their
anticipated second full-length release, When Everything’s Lost, will be on sale
exclusively at Bull Moose stores, online at www.bullmoose.com or at a Dead
Season show beginning May 20th. The CD will be available everywhere June 21st.
