Bull Moose Welcomes Local Band Dead Season for Two Live In-Shore Performances

BANGOR & LEWISTON, ME: To celebrate the release of their new CD, Oxford, Maine metal/rock band Dead Season will perform two intimate acoustic in-store performances at Bull Moose stores in Bangor and Lewiston. Their new CD, When Everything’s Lost, will be officially released on Tuesday, May 20, and the band will appear that day at the Bangor Bull Moose in the Maine Square Mall, 683 Hogan Road. They perform again the next day, Wednesday, May 21, at the Lewiston Bull Moose in the Lewiston Mall, 20 East Avenue. Both sets begin at 5:30 p.m. and the band will sign CDs after the shows. Augusta rock radio station WTOS 105.1 FM will broadcast live from each event. The performances are free and open to the public, for more information visit www.bullmoose.com.

Hailing from the small town of Oxford, Maine, Dead Season has been playing together since 2003. Founded by the two Truman brothers, Ian (vocals) and Matt (guitar), the band later added Andy Hackett on drums and Steve Church on bass. Their debut full-length CD, Rise, was released in August 2006.

“The Mirror,” track three on Rise, spent most of 2007 in heavy rotation on WTOS and “The Thunder Rolls” (a Garth Brooks cover) was one of the most requested songs on the station in 2006. A brand new single from their new album, “The End,” is currently in rotation on WTOS.

Dead Season won WTOS’s Battle of the Bands three years in a row (2004, 2005 and 2006) and remains one of the most requested bands on the station. Their anticipated second full-length release, When Everything’s Lost, will be on sale exclusively at Bull Moose stores, online at www.bullmoose.com or at a Dead Season show beginning May 20th. The CD will be available everywhere June 21st.

Bull Moose was started in 1989 in Brunswick, Maine by Bowdoin College junior Brett Wickard. What began as a makeshift store carrying only a few records is now the largest music retailer in Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire. Today the company has ten stores and employs more than 100 people. Its product line includes new and used records, CDs, DVDs and new and used video games. The stores also carry accessories including CD cases, “Magic: the Gathering Cards,” and incense. To allow its customers the ability to purchase new releases at the earliest possible time, Bull Moose stores in Brunswick, Bangor, Scarborough, Portsmouth and Salem are open until midnight every Monday. Bull Moose also recently opened its online store where customers can purchase new and used items from Bull Moose’s entire inventory. For more information, visit www.bullmoose.com.
