Phillis Rock

PRock.jpg (12228 bytes)Phillis most recently played in Camelot's May'04's Three Short Comedies, as well as in May'03's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.   Previously, she took on Woman with Gavel in Chamber Music at the Brandeis festival, Cookie the cook in Rumors for our Spring show in 1999, and directed the production of Frankenstein in the fall of '97.  Other directorial credits include Camelot's production of Amateurs, Count Dracula, Harvey and Norman, Is That You?.

A Camelot member for over 25 years, Phillis has had many onstage appearances including as Mishkin in The Water Engine and Miss Starkie in Funeral Tea, both versions of The Odd Couple (Olive Madison & Gwendolyn Pigeon), Ethel Banks in Barefoot in the Park, Muriel Wicksteed in Habeas Corpus, Brenda in Lovers & Other Strangers, Rita in The Butler Did It, as well as roles in Fools, The Sunshine Boys, Schubert's Last Serenade, Let's Murder Marsha, Romantic Comedy and many others.

Prior to Camelot, Phillis was active for many years with the Chelmsford Players, WEstford Players and Billerica Christus, appearing onstage as Trina Stanley in 40 Carats, as well as in Come Blow Your Horn, Anything Goes, The Lottery, Pinocchio, My Three Angels, Night Must Fall, Sweet Charity, Wizard Of Oz, The Night of January 16th, The Mousetrap, Look Who's Laughing and others too numerous to mention.  She also appeared in a restaurant commercial on local Cable television for Anthony's In-land Pier Restaurant in Tyngsboro.

A long-time resident of West Chelmsford, Phillis has measured countless hours working behind the scenes in many capacities (props, make-up, lights, sound...) spanning many giving years to the benefit of community theatre.
