The Setting
Alex & Donna's living room and a restaurant cocktail lounge in a mid-western city of 160,000.  Current day.

Synopsis
COncerto Grosso is a dark comedy about Alex (a high school teacher) and his wife, Donna, who are faced with a dilemma when Alex is offered a promotion to Assistant Principal, but only because Burt (the current Principal) would like to date their 18-year-old daughter, Mary.

Author Biography
GFreek.jpg (184886 bytes)George Freek's plays have been produced by the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, the Changing Scene in Denver (CO), the Organic Theater in Chicago, the Vortex Theatre in Austin (TX), the Kraine Theater and the Theater-Studio in New York, as well as in many high schools and colleges.  He has spent residencies at the New American Theater in Rockford (IL), Southern Illinois University and Southern Methodist Unviersity, as has received grants from the Illinois Arts Council and the National Endowment of the Arts.  His play Waiting for Julia has been published by Playscripts, Inc., and The Stranger in Stanley's Room by Aviar Press.  Freek has also had poems published by the Chaffin Journal, The Coal City Review and 2 Rivers.
