Anything Goes,
"The age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications which
ensue intrigue every audience, and no musical puts it on stage
better than Anything Goes. This show is an amusing story wrapped
around one of Cole Porter's magical scores. Terrific songs
include It's De-Lovely, Friendship, I Get A Kick Out Of You, All
Through The Night, Anything Goes, You're The Top and Blow,
Gabriel, Blow. It's a wonder that all the romances are sorted
out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where

EAST HADDAM: Two time Tony Award-winning
Goodspeed Musicals is thrilled to announce the 2012 musical
season at the Goodspeed Opera House. The 49th season includes
three outstanding musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers:

MYSTIC: Emerson
Theatre Collaborative (ETC) announces the dinner theater
production of Ever True: A Union Private and His Wife
by Lisa Saunders. Ever True, directed by Joshua Ramos and
produced by ETC’s Camilla Ross. Ever True, tells the story of
couple’s devotion to their country and each other in the midst
of war’s infidelities, scandals and ever-present threat of
death. The performance runs from February 14th,

PORTLAND: Acorn
Productions’ Shakespeare Ensemble, a group dedicated to
encouraging audiences to re-experience Shakespeare's language
and imagery, continues its Naked Shakespeare performances with
Will You Be Mine? part of
the monthly "Sonnet and Soliloquies" series. These performances
will feature eight to ten company members performing short
selections from Shakespeare's text at the Wine Bar at 38 Wharf
St. in Portland's Old Port. Each selection is presented by the
actors in a contemporary scenario that highlights the universal
nature of Shakespeare’s language. Actors will be mingled in and
around the audience, delivering sonnets and soliloquies
conversationally to one another and the audience in unexpected
ways that will allow listeners to find new meaning in the text.
The performance of “Will You Be Mine?” takes place on Monday,
February 6th at 8 p.m. The show is free

production, by Conservatory faculty members, dramatizing a

Based on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling", “Honk!”
tells the story of an odd looking baby duck, Ugly, and his quest
to find his mother. Soon after Ugly is born, he is seduced away
by a wily Cat who wants to eat Ugly for dinner. Eventually, Ugly
manages to escape but has no idea how to return home. Along his
way, he encounters a beautiful swan, Penny, tangled in a fishing
line. After saving her, the two birds fall in love. However, she
must return to her flock and fly south for the winter.
Eventually, Ugly’s mother finds him frozen in snow. Luckily, her
warm tears manage to thaw him out and he comes back to life – as
a handsome swan! Soon, Ugly is reunited with Penny and the two
swans decide to live the rest of their days in the same pond as

HINGHAM: A free Family Arts Safari
hosted by South Shore Conservatory will be held Saturday,
January 21, from 10 am – 12 noon. Open to the
public, the event welcomes the area’s families to spend time
together exploring music, theater and movement at South Shore
Conservatory, One Conservatory Drive. The family-friendly event
kicks off with an original SSC production, by Conservatory
faculty members, dramatizing a search for endangered musical
instruments such as the "ferocious French horn", "migrating
marimba" and "bellowing bassoon". The performance is followed by
a rich sampling of SSCreative Seeds early childhood programs. An
“Arts Passport” allows explorers to sample instruments and
travel through a variety of music, creative movement and drama
activities. Admission to all activities is free of charge.
Families are welcome to tour the facility, preschool and
kindergarten, meet faculty and staff, and learn more about the

Cajun & Zydeco Mardi Gras Ball
celebrates it's 20th anniversary this year with an extended
lineup of four bands and an earlier start time of 5:00 pm on

of the only authentic Mardi Gras celebrations in New England,

MASS MoCA will co-present leading Australian contemporary dance
company Chunky Move in Connected.
Based in Melbourne, the company brings “blasts of choreographic

world, with “strongly conceived and arrestingly choreographed
and designed physical theatre” (The Times, U.K.). This
