Board member Theodora Aspegren, who has again assembled a fabulous evening, including celebrity auctioneer Kathy Kingston; Alex Donner’s electrifying dance band; catering by Blackstone Caterers and auction items donated from a galaxy of donors. The auction echoes the Shangri-La theme, offering fantastic escapes and distinctive delights.  The Shangri-La Gala on June 27th benefits the programs Island Moving Co. presents in area schools, introducing thousands of children annually to the expressive possibilities of dance. Shangri-La is the name of Miss Duke’s estate in Hawaii, and evokes a mystical and enchanted world, far from every day cares.  For information, contact Island Moving Co. at 401 847-4470 or info@islandmovingco.org.
